Robb had a special gift for being present with people during some of life's most difficult moments.

Robert “Robb” William Elders, of Farmington, entered eternal rest on September 6, 2026, at Barnes Jewish Hospital at the age of 59. He was born on February 24, 1967, in Farmington, Missouri, to William “Bill” F. and Marilyn J. (Findley) Elders.

Robb is survived by his loving wife, Carmen (Phillips) Elders; his children, Ashley Taylor (Matthew), Jessie Johnson, Ross Elders, Josh Melton, Zach Breakfield, and Kennedy Nipper (Ethan); his grandchildren, Ruth Ann, Abigail, William, Calvin, Pandora, Romona, and Charlie; his mother, Marilyn Elders (James Plummer); his sister, Patty Ribbing (Joe); his nephews, Tyler Ribbing (Tara) and Travis Ribbing Sr. (Kelsey); and his great nieces and nephews, Ellie, Sophie, Jace, Travis Jr., Eva, and Caroline. He is also survived by his hospice work families, including those at Preferred Hospice and Breeze Hospice, and his Cozean Memorial Chapel family, along with many extended family members, friends, colleagues, and countless individuals whose lives were touched by his ministry and compassion.

Robb was preceded in death by his father, William “Bill” F. Elders, and one angel grandchild, Grayson Bradley Nipper.

Born and raised in Farmington, Robb’s life was deeply rooted in his faith, family, and a desire to serve others. After graduating from Farmington High School, he continued his education with a double major in Evangelism and Theology from Central Bible College. He was ordained into the ministry and spent many years pastoring congregations throughout Kansas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas. His faith remained at the center of his life, and he was a devoted longtime member of Farmington Christian Church.

Music was another important part of Robb’s life and ministry. He had the remarkable opportunity to sing with the legendary Hemphill’s gospel group in Nashville, Tennessee. His years on the road also included driving tour buses for numerous well known musical artists, most notably spending many years driving for Kenny Chesney. Those experiences gave Robb countless stories and memories, but eventually, the road brought him back home to Farmington and to the work that would become another meaningful chapter of his life.

Robb had a special gift for being present with people during some of life's most difficult moments. He served as a hospice chaplain with Preferred Hospice before recently continuing his ministry with Breeze Hospice. Through his hospice work, Robb provided prayer, comfort, companionship, and spiritual guidance to patients and their families when they needed it most.

That same calling to serve grieving families led Robb to Cozean Memorial Chapel. He initially joined the staff as an associate and continued expanding his role and knowledge, becoming a certified crematory operator and, most recently, an apprentice funeral director. Robb approached funeral service as another extension of his ministry, striving to provide dignity, compassion, and comfort to every family entrusted to his care. His presence, friendship, and dedication made him a cherished member of the Cozean Memorial Chapel family.

Above all, Robb was a devoted family man. He treasured the life he shared with Carmen and the vibrant blended family they built together. He loved his children and grandchildren deeply and cherished the time he was able to spend with them. When he was not working or ministering to others, Robb enjoyed being outdoors, especially fishing and water sports, and he was an avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan.

Robb spent his life serving others in many different ways: as a husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, pastor, chaplain, musician, funeral service professional, colleague, and friend. Whether standing behind a pulpit, sitting beside a hospice patient, comforting a grieving family, singing a gospel song, or simply sharing a conversation, Robb had a desire to leave people with comfort and hope. His faith guided his journey, his family gave his life meaning, and his heart for others became the legacy he leaves behind.

Robb will be deeply missed by his family, his church family, his hospice families, his Cozean Memorial Chapel family, and the many people who were blessed to know and love him.

A visitation will be held at Cozean Memorial Chapel on Thursday, September 10, 2026, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Visitation will resume at the Farmington Christian Church on Friday, September 11, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral service beginning at 11:00 a.m. Robb will be laid to rest at Knob Lick Cemetery following the funeral service.
