FARMINGTON – Sharon Joan Bequette entered into eternal rest on April 30, 2026, surrounded by her loving family at the age of 80. She was born in Fort Morgan, Colorado on May 28, 1945, to the late Sterling Meyers and Lena (Sitzes) Doyle. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Tonya Lynn Bequette; a sister, Norma Jean Seibert; her son-in-law, Trace Edward Cashion, father and mother-in-law, Thomas Orville Bequette and Helen Viola Bequette and her brother-in-law, Jesse “Jack” Lee Bequette.

Sharon went to Doe Run School before going on to Farmington High School. She married the love of her life, Tom “Bud” Bequette in 1962. She was a wonderful mother to their four children. Spending time with family was her first and foremost favorite pastime. An accomplished cook, Sharon loved to cook for and feed her friends and family. She prided herself in preparing specialty dishes that only she knew the ingredients for. She could make wild game taste so great that you couldn’t tell you weren’t eating a steak dinner.

A wonderful Christian lady, the Lord was the most important thing to her. She loved old time hymns and singing. Most recently, she attended the Shepherd Chapel in Gravette, Arkansas. She was raised in the Farmington Church of God.

She and her husband spent the last seventeen years in Branson, Missouri where they lived and worked for Castle View Resort on Table Rock Lake.

Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Tom “Buddy” Bequette; her children, Tina Marie Cashion, Thomas Dale (Shari) Bequette; Pamela Jean (Don) Junge and Kenneth Howard (Sandy) Bequette; eight grandchildren, Crystal Cashion, Josh (Hannah Gallego) Cashion, Ashley Counts, Jeff (Taylor Uding) Kostedt, Derick (Shelby) Junge, Noah (Sydney) Junge, Alex (Macie) Bequette, and Kendra (Derick) Slaughter; great grandchildren, Donnie, Kambria, Davy, Alison, Anderson, Remi, Hayes, Ellie and three more precious babies on the way; along with several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Monday, May 4, 2026, at Cozean Memorial Chapel beginning at 1 p.m. until the funeral service at 3 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Darlene Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Knights of Pythias Cemetery in Farmington. Donations, if desired, may be made to Tom Bequette to help defray final expenses.
