Susan Elaine Thomas, of Festus, entered eternal rest on December 3, 2025, at her home at the age of 72. She was born on August 22, 1953, in Bonne Terre, Missouri to the late Victor Randall and Helen Glendaline (Williams) Thomas.
Susan is survived by her siblings, Kathryn May of Park Hills, Ann Thomas of Farmington, and Jane (David) Grass of Ste. Genevieve, her niece and nephew who were like her children, Niki Thomas and Clinton (Ashley) Barber, other nieces and nephews, Matt May, Krista Southerland, and Alex Grass, her great nieces and great nephews, Helena, Fisher, Brogan, Christian, Parker, Lucas, Madeline, Ryder and Brewer, along with other extended family members and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her significant other, Jim Fluharty.
Susan retired after working for Southwestern Bell, which became AT & T for many years as an operator and in the payroll department. She was a woman of faith, attended True Connection Church and is now in the arms of God. Susan enjoyed taking care of her horses, dogs, and goats who were like her babies. She had a host of many friends and never met a stranger. She will be fondly remembered and dearly missed.
A memorial visitation will be held on Monday, December 8, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service at 7:00 p.m. at Cozean Memorial Chapel.
