Theodore "Ted" Forsythe

Theodore Morgan Ted Forsythe of Farmington passed away on Monday, April 25, 2011, at St. John's Medical Center, at the age of 85 years. He was born on January 22, 1926, in Flat River, son of the late Cordellia Ellen (Weiss) and Joseph Leo Forsythe. He was also preceded in death by a son, Danny Lee Forsythe and three brothers, Warren, Dwayne and James Forsythe. Ted was a member of the Farmington First Assembly of God Church. Before retirement, he was employed with Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy in World War II. He was a member of the Farmington VFW Post 5896. Mr. Forsythe also served as an Auxiliary Police Officer for the City of Farmington. He is survived by his wife, Laverne (Williams) Forsythe, a son, Steven Forsythe (Gale Marie) of Farmington, two daughters, Karen Lindwedel (Richard) of Pevely, and Linda Forsythe of Barnhart, seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren. Numerous other relatives and friends also survive. The family will receive friends at Cozean Memorial Chapel from 5 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, April 27, and on Thursday from 7 to 11a.m. Friends are invited to join the family for a luncheon before the service at the Farmington First Assembly of God Church beginning at 11a.m. Visitation will continue at 1 p.m. at the Farmington First Assembly of God Church with a funeral service at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Kevin Davis officiating, assisted by the Rev. Hugh Cerutti and the Rev. Joe Kochis. Interment with Military Honors will be at Doe Run Memorial Cemetery.
