Thomas B. Overall, 68, of Cleveland, OH, passed away on May 14, 2025, as a result of a violent and senseless crime. Tom was a beloved brother, uncle, cousin, and friend known for his quiet strength, unwavering loyalty and gentle kindness. His warmth and presence leave a lasting mark on all who were fortunate enough to have known him.
Born on July 31, 1956, in Bonne Terre, MO, Tom was the son of the late Stanley M. Overall Jr. and Helen C. (Roth) Overall. He moved to Cleveland, OH in the late 1980’s to work for Southwestern Bell Yellow Pages. He later worked at and retired from Key Bank. Upon retirement, Tom was employed part time at the Rocket Mortgage Center working in guest relations. He made Cleveland home and Cleveland welcomed him with open arms.
Tom was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hiking, biking, swimming, and paddleboarding. He was a member of the Cleveland Hiking Club since 2013 and hiked over 6,000 miles with them. He was scheduled to leave on May 16th with the club for a 2-week trek across Spain.
Tom is survived by his two sisters, Gail Agers (Mike) and Sandra Kelley (Tim), along with three nieces, Shanna Wilson, Katlyn Underwood, and Whitney Schaaf (Ryan). He is also survived by five great nieces and nephews, Lance Wilson, Eva Wilson, Cash Underwood, Jude Schaaf, and Finn Schaaf along with many cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.
A memorial mass will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at 10:30am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 10 North Long Avenue Street, Farmington, MO with Father William Thess and Deacon Mike Burch officiating. Per Tom’s wishes, a celebration of life will follow from 12:00 noon until 4:00pm at the St. Francois County Country Club, 4901 Hillsboro Road, Farmington. Private inurnment at a later date at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Help the Hungry, 4055 Westover Road, Bonne Terre, MO 63628 or Feed My Sheep, 104 Ashton Court, Bonne Terre, MO 63628.
