His children were the center of his world, and there was nowhere he would rather be than on a court or field, watching them play the sports they loved.
Tim Schaupert, of Farmington, entered eternal rest on October 16, 2026, following a motor vehicle accident at the age of 50. He was born on June 5, 1976, in Perryville, Missouri, to Calvin “Kelly” and Shirlene (Wichern) Schaupert.
Tim is survived by his loving wife, Renee Schaupert; his children, Brandon, Logan, Ethan, and Allison Schaupert; his parents, Calvin “Kelly” and Shirlene Schaupert; his sister, Sherry (Kenny) Seyer; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Roger and Chris Schlichting; his brother-in-law, Brian (Caitlin) Schlichting; his sister-in-law, Sarah (Ryan) McQuay; his niece and nephews, Brent (Olivia), Alex, Preston, Finley, Silas, Bria, and Atticus; and his great-nephew, James. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory.
Tim was baptized on July 11, 1976, and confirmed in the Lutheran faith on May 6, 1990. He graduated from Perryville High School before earning his bachelor’s degree from Missouri Valley College and his master’s degree in administration from William Woods University. He began his career in education as a teacher and coach, dedicating his professional life to working with students and helping young athletes develop their skills both on and off the court and field. Most recently, Tim served as a high school soccer coach for both the boys’ and girls’ teams and was preparing to begin coaching middle school boys’ basketball. He also spent 22 years as a basketball official, demonstrating his lifelong dedication to the sports he loved.
Sports were more than a pastime for Tim; they were a lifelong passion. During his high school basketball career, he established several school records, one of which still stands today. He enjoyed cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs, attending high school basketball games, and spending countless hours coaching and supporting student-athletes. Through his years of teaching, coaching, and officiating, Tim formed lasting friendships and made a meaningful impact on the lives of many young people.
Sports were more than a pastime for Tim; they were a lifelong passion.
Above all, Tim was a devoted husband and father whose greatest joy was his family. His children were the center of his world, and there was nowhere he would rather be than on a court or field, watching them play the sports they loved. Whether coaching from the sidelines, cheering from the stands, or simply spending time together, Tim treasured every opportunity to be involved in their lives. His love for his family and his passion for athletics were deeply intertwined, creating countless memories that his loved ones will forever hold dear.
Tim will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his commitment to his students and athletes, and the lasting influence he had on the many lives he touched throughout his years in education and athletics. His presence will be deeply missed by his family, friends, fellow coaches, students, and the entire community.
