Wendell Howard Neil, of St. Louis, Missouri, passed away on September 29, 2026, at the age of 53. He was born on May 24, 1973, in St. Louis, Missouri, to the late William “Billy” Howard Neil Sr. and Betty Jean (Snider) Neil.
Wendell is survived by his longtime partner, Delicia Rayford; his children, Reka Neil, Devontae Owens, Dante Owens, Demond Neil, Aliyah Neil, and Ajah Neil; his siblings, Tyron (Bridgette) Neil, Blanche Snider, Tandra (Eugene) Brooks, and Tracy Williams; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory.
In addition to his parents, Wendell was preceded in death by his brothers, William Howard Neil, Jr. and Adrian Neil.
He was educated in the Kinloch and St. Louis Public School Districts. He loved to entertain his family and friends and always had a joke or funny story for you. Wendell was the Founder and CEO of YaDigg Records. He also worked as a tattoo artist, where his artistic ability and creativity allowed him to express himself through his work. In his spare time, he enjoyed drawing, listening to music, and creating music. Wendell will be fondly remembered for his creativity and the memories he shared with his family and those closest to him.
A memorial service will be held at a late date to be announced soon. The family of Wendell H. Neil wishes to express our sincere appreciation for the cards, emails, text messages, florals, condolences and other expressions of sympathy extended during our bereavement.
