Will Rose, of Farmington, Missouri, entered eternal rest at his residence on September 10, 2025, at the age of 87. He was born on July 2, 1938, in Fredericktown, Missouri, to the late Paul and Reva (Smallen) Rose. On June 22, 1963, he was united in marriage to Joyce (Robinson) Rose in Fredericktown, Missouri.
Will is survived by his devoted wife of 62 years, Joyce (Robinson) Rose; his children, Doug Rose (Dena) and Kelly Karas (Don); his grandchildren, Braden Rose, Breslin Meyer (Eric), Brenna Rose, Madison Karas, and Ethan Karas (Candace); his bonus granddaughter, Avvey Hutchcraft; and his great-granddaughter, Evie Rose. He is also survived by many dear friends who cherished his company.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Maurene Beatty.
Will spent most of his career as a salesman in the pipe and steel industry. Always having a fondness for cherry pie, he made sure that he befriended the bakers while in basic training for the army reserves. This friend would often bring him a cherry pie that he would share with his buddies. In his spare time, he enjoyed attending classic car shows—with Joyce by his side—and he was a proud member of the Corvette Club. He also found joy in his church community as a member of the First Baptist Church of Farmington.
Above all, Will will be remembered as a kind, honest, and loving man whose humor was a gift to all who knew him. He had a way of making people laugh and was always teasing someone, leaving smiles wherever he went. His generous heart and playful spirit, along with the deep love he held for his family, defined his life. Time with his children, grandchildren, and great-granddaughter brought him his greatest joy.
A memorial visitation will be held on September 15, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 6:00 p.m. at Cozean Memorial Chapel.
