William "Bill" Conner Jr.

William "Bill" Conner, Jr. of Farmington passed away on Tuesday, October 26, 2010, at Missouri Baptist Medical Center, at the age of 72 years, 3 months, and 15 days. He was born on July 11, 1938, in St. Louis, MO, the son of the late William Conner Sr. and Cletis Nelson. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by an infant brother, Charles. Bill served his country in the United States Navy from 1955 to 1960. He was a lifelong resident of the Farmington area. In 1971 he married the love of his life, Patricia Wright who survives. Bill was an accomplished auto mechanic for many years. In his retirement he enjoyed fishing, camping and simply being outdoors. His favorite pastime was spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife he is survived by his daughter, Catherine Annette Meador and her partner Robert Sitzes, his son, Jeffery Joe Conner; grandchildren, Danielle Williford and husband Mark, Andrea Lockwood and husband Ricky, and Joel Meador, III; great-grandchildren, Caleb and Camilia Williford and Zeke Lockwood; three sisters, Mary Bradley, Dolly Miller and husband Gerald, and Patsy Nelson all of the State of Tennessee; and a host of other extended family and many friends. Also surviving are his beloved four-legged kids, Scooby-Do, Stinky, Lucy and Speedy. Visitation will be held at Cozean Memorial Chapel from 4 - 8 p.m. on Saturday, October 30, 2010. Visitation will resume Sunday from 10 a.m. until the funeral service beginning at 2 p.m. in the Cozean Chapel with Pastor David Wright officiating. Interment will follow at Parkview Cemetery.
