What's Happening in Farmington
The East Ozarks Audubon Society meets March 19 at 7 p.m. (6:30 p.m. for refreshments) at the Memorial United Methodist Church for the program "Getting to Know Sparrows."
The American Legion will host a dance March 20 from 6-9 p.m.in a smoke and alcohol-free environment with a $5 admission charge.
The VFW, DAV, and American Legion Service Officers will be available at the VFW Post 5896 on March 18 from 9:30 to noon to assist veterans and family members with information and assistance filing VA claims.
The St. Francois County Historical Society will meet March 24 at 7 p.m. at the Firehouse.
A free support group for parents who have lost children will be held from 7-8 p.m. on the second and fourth Monday of each month at 400 N. Washington St. For more information, call 747-0335.
The Lions Club meets at 7 a.m. on each Tuesday at the MARMC cafeteria.The Presbyterian Manor is seeking volunteers to help with resident shopping, delivering mail to residents and a piano player for Wednesday and Sunday afternoon. For more information, call Teresa Pinkley at 756-6768.
Farmington Ministerial Alliance Food Pantry has a fundraiser at CiCi's Pizza on 3rd Monday of each month, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. 10% of Receipts go to help the food pantry.
Al-Anon Support Group meets 7 to 8 p.m. each Thursday at the Farmington Church of the Nazarene. Call 756-2791 if any questions.
Volunteers are needed by the Farmington Senior Center to help deliver meals to the homebound in our area. Help is also needed to pack these meals and to serve the noon meal at the center. More more information, call Mona Yates at 756-1376.
